the meaning behind the name
what is an ensō?
The ensō circle is a sacred Zen Buddhist symbol used in Japanese calligraphy. It is painted in one single brushstroke, and it represents the circle of life, the beginning and end of all things, and the connection of everything in existence.
It is a symbol of simplicity, harmony and infinity, and a gentle reminder that nothing in life has to be perfect. No two ensō circles are ever the same.
how it started
from a kitchen hob
only ensō began as a personal hobby that helped me cope with anxiety and a sense of aimlessness. Candle making became a therapeutic escape, and it now brings me so much happiness.
The first three blends, Smoked Maple, Onsen and Bamboo Forest, were made on my kitchen hob, four candles at a time. Since then the collection has grown to include new blends, wax melts, diffusers, limited editions and gift sets.

I create every product by hand, in small batches, to make sure each one is the best quality it can be. Every scent is developed, poured, packaged and posted from here in Birmingham.
